Covid-19 Update for Indoor Leagues and Clinics

Covid-19 Update for Indoor Leagues and Clinics

March 27, 2020

Dear Civic Center Coaches, Team Managers, and After School Clinic Participants

We hope this note finds you safe and healthy during these challenging times. I’m sure after more than a week of social distancing, you and your players are wishing more than ever that you could be back at the Central VT Memorial Civic Center kicking the ball around! Unfortunately, the current circumstances have us in a holding pattern as we await a time when it is safe and prudent to congregate again. For now, here is an update on where things stand:

  • The Vermont Soccer Association (youth) and Vermont State Soccer Association (adult) has suspended sanctioned indoor league play through April 30th. Therefore, any league that registers players with the state association (which we do) cannot hold matches before this date.

  • This suspension (through April 30th) also includes after school youth clinics and coaching education classes.

  • We are uncertain as to what May looks like in terms of social/athletic restrictions

At this time, we remain hopeful that we can recommence programming in May, so that we can provide much needed soccer to you after such a long period of isolation! We will continue to track the decisions made by the state and federal government, state soccer associations, and school districts. If it looks like resuming play will not be an option, we will let you know and send you additional information about credits, transfers, and refunds.

Thanks very much for your patience as we make our way through this unprecedented period in all of our lives. We look forward to being in further communication about our programming as the circumstances continue to unfold.

 Best,

Peter and George
