Summer Running Camp

Participants in this clinic will be introduced to the elements of a running program designed to improve speed, leg turnover, endurance, and overall aerobic conditioning. Athletes will learn how to employ pace runs, speedwork, endurance runs, and recovery runs to maximize their running ability and stamina. The clinic will place a special emphasis on speedwork and interval training

At the beginning of the clinic each athlete will be tested to assess their baseline running ability and fitness. Subsequent sessions will focus on different elements of a comprehensive running program, both through practice and discussion. At the end of the clinic each athlete will receive an 8-week running program they can follow on their own schedule. Participants will also receive pace charts and other basic information to assist them in their personal program.

This clinic is designed for athletes participating in sports where strong running speed and conditioning are crucial to success, including soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, and cross country
